Through arrangements that balance local musical idioms with the aesthetic extensions of Third Stream Jazz, the students explore the art of free improvisation. A distinctive performance of educational creativity and vibrant live sound.

Kostis Rossos Quartet

Kostis Rossos: Saxophone

Vasilis Lagdas electric guitar
Kostas Dimitriou drums
Leandros Pasias keys

Kostis Rossos was born in Preveza, studied at the Maastricht Conservatorium and now lives in Edinburgh, where he is an active part of the city’s jazz scene. This May, he returns with musicians from the Greek jazz scene, presenting an evening of his original compositions shaped by a rare balance of classical training and improvisational freedom. A homecoming we’ve been looking forward to.

Coming from different musical and artistic backgrounds, the members bring together diverse influences, resulting in an inevitably compelling collaboration. Their presence on stage is driven by the desire to share their art and invite the audience to experience the same emotions they feel while performing the music that truly expresses them.

Amphitrio

Andrei Petrache: piano
Alex Mike: double bass
Filip Goron: percussion

Amphitrio is an award-winning contemporary jazz project from Bucharest, formed in 2023 by pianist and composer Andrei Petrache, together with bassist Mike Alex and percussionist Filip Goron.

Their music moves fluidly between Nordic jazz atmospheres, Balkan tonalities, heavy rock energy and electronic textures, all grounded in a repertoire of original compositions by Petrache.

With three albums released within just two years and performances across 14 countries, Amphitrio brings a rare sense of artistic maturity and momentum, delivering a sound that is both expansive and sharply defined.

LINQ

Mateus Wojda : bass, compositions
John Wolter : drums
Gilles Grethen : guitar
Pierre Cocq-Amann : saxophone, flute
Jérôme Klein : keyboards

LINQ is the project of bassist and composer Mateus Wojda, a graduate of the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. The ensemble crafts a sound where the energy of hip-hop, the attitude of punk rock, and the spirit of jazz improvisation coexist without friction.

Together with four musicians—drums, keyboards, saxophone, and guitar—the quintet embraces an open question: how abstract can music become without losing its connection to the listener?

A set that never quite tells you where it will go, but makes sure you want to follow.

Supported by the Embassy of Luxembourg.

Irene Reig Quartet

Irene Reig – saxophone
Xavi Torres – piano
Pau Sala – double bass
Andreu Pitarch – drums

Irene Reig is one of the most distinctive voices on the European jazz scene, with an active presence at festivals across Barcelona, Norway, Brussels and Hungary.

At the Preveza Jazz Festival, she presents material from her new album “Ànima”, a suite reflecting the different phases of the soul—struggle, sorrow, healing and transformation.

She is joined by Xavi Torres on piano, Pau Sala on double bass, and Andreu Pitarch on drums, forming a quartet that moves with both emotional depth and refined musical clarity.

Esdras Nogueira is a saxophonist from Brasília with five solo albums—and a sixth set for release in 2026. His music draws inspiration from the rhythms and landscapes of the Cerrado, the vast savannah surrounding Brazil’s capital, blending Brazilian traditions, Afrobeat influences and jazz improvisation into a warm, highly rhythmic and danceable sound.

Following a striking appearance at WOMEX 2025 in Tampere, the quintet arrives in Preveza, bringing its vibrant and organic musical universe to the festival stage.

Elektro Guzzi

Bernhard Hammer – guitar |

Bernhard Breuer – drums |

Jakob Schneidewind – electric bass

Austrian trio Elektro Guzzi returns with their 11th studio album, Liquid Center — a work that translates the analogue energy of the live stage into digital precision without losing its physicality or warmth. Their sound doesn't chase loudness, but detail: clear, deep, with the technical discipline of techno and the adrenaline of a live band. A closing set that the festival deserves.

The performance of Elektro Guzzi takes place within the framework of the Greek-Austrian Musical Summer 2026.
